Will always be mommy’s Tupperware cupboard!
Here’s Mikko, Xuana Cesar’s son. www.xuanacesar.com
Our refrigerator was on the first page of the Cahier Maison of La Presse on February 16th 2013! I strongly recommend you to read this article (in French) by Carole Thibaudeau on kitchen storage! Yours truly is even quoted!
Lifetime warranty against defects in the material or workmanship under normal, non commercial or household use. Warranty coverage on glass covers does not include breakage due to dropping.
During Tupperware parties, we often teach our clients about the 3-4-5 basic rules for adapting a recipe that needs to be cooked in the oven, to the microwave oven. And we now share them with you:
Also, we can reduce the seasoning, including salt, by half. The friction of the water molecules in the food, while reheating, diffuses the flavor.
Finally, you can reduce the water amount required for a recipe by ¼ cup, per cup. For example, if the recipe requires 2 cups, you would only put 1-½ cups.
There you go, now you know! Happy cooking!
Here’s an interesting concept that puts both kids and adults to the challenge to have no trash come out of their lunch box: no wrapping, no leftovers, no waste at all. By preparing on average 250 lunches per year, every little bit we doe that helps to minimize waste counts!
Avoid using disposable utensils, plates, glasses and containers. Tupperware products are reusable as well as watertight and airtight; snack cups (yogurt, applesauce), midgets (salad dressing, soy sauce, mayonnaise), mini stuffables (vegetables, grapes, pear), sandwich keepers (to eliminate the crushed sandwich syndrome) etc. Do not reuse old margarine, yogurt, cottage cheese or Chinese food containers, as they are not meant to be reused. Toxic particles can get separated from the containers and contaminate the food, especially if they are reheated. Also, they are not resistant and they not airtight.
Buy in bulk and divide into individual portions in Tupperware containers: companies that sell individually wrapped portions multiply the wrappings, which end up in the trash, and they are more expensive. Prepare portions in advance: whether it’s juice, snacks, fruits or vegetables, you’ll save time and money all the while preserving the environment. You can also freeze certain varieties of bread in order to have some on hand at all times for sandwiches.
Multiply: Double or triple all your muffins, cookies and breads recipes, then freeze them. On weekends, cook a large piece of meat for an evening dinner, and mince the rest for sandwiches and salads for your lunches.
Prepare your snacks: Prepare in advance individual snack portions, your crackers, and cheese pieces, wash and cut your grapes in small clusters, etc.
Make a habit of preparing a large amount of vegetables and conserve them in your refrigerator in the FridgeSmart containers. Choose easy to handle vegetables like cherry tomatoes and mini carrots. Served with dip, they make a great snack.
For dinner, prepare extra rice, pasta or potatoes. They will be transformed into rice cakes, pasta and potato salads for your lunches. You can also double your stews, lasagnas and chili recipes, and organize them in your vent n’ serve containers for your lunches throughout the week. Then at lunch, you just reheat them in the microwave: safely and quickly!
Avoid using straws and juice boxes: they cannot be reused (except for the Tupperware whistle straws) and their fabrication causes pollution. Instead, buy the larger format and drink in a Tupperware tumbler, which comes with an airtight seal for easy transport. We have many tumbler options: impression tumblers drip-less straw seals (330 ml or 500 ml), bell tumblers (perfect for a V-8), princess tumblers (set of 6 colors), ThirstQuake tumbler (for the big thirsts), ECO bottles (ideal for water). No more spills, and no more trash! Did you know that in Quebec, only one out 10 disposable water bottles actually gets recycled, the 9 others get tossed in the trash!! (Source: Recyc-Québec)
Favor organic and local foods. Certified organic foods offer a pesticide-free, hormone-free, drug-free and eco friendly option even if they are more expensive. Encourage the local economy, and limit transport, by subscribing to an organic basket directly from the farm (http://www.equiterre.org/en/solution/organic-baskets). Then store those fruits and vegetables in the FridgeSmart containers to maximize their lifespan, that way you can have more variety and avoid waste.
Avoid processed foods when possible. They’re high in calories, low in nutrients and they are often composed of unnecessary ingredients. Variety is key! Vary colors, textures and shapes. No food on it’s own is complete, even the perfect lunch box served day in and day out isn’t ideal for your health and your pleasure. Involve the kids (both big and small) in menu planning.
Did you know that by limiting the waste that comes out of your lunch box, thanks to Tupperware, you substantially reduce your environmental impact?
I recommend you take a look at the chart below in order to realize how much money you can save and how much waste you can reduce when a family of 4 adopts Tupperware products!

Fortunately, the company has developed different product collections that enable us to host at home with a table setup for special occasions, even in the summer outside on the patio!
Acrylic products such as the Ice Prisms collection and the exclusively for hosts summer fun set are indeed great examples of sparkling, stylish and functional products. Aside from being nice, they are also virtually unbreakable and light. In addition, we like they’re practical side because they come with seals for easy transport and storage. It’s much more relaxing to have family and friends over when you know that your dishware isn’t fragile and that it won’t require messy transfer from the serving bowl to the storage bowl.
Exclusivity for hosts – summer fun set
Around the pool or on the patio, it’s also reassuring to know that none of our dishes will fall and brake and leave little shards behind for our bare foots to find. The floating bowls are a must in order to keep the snacks and cool beverages in the pool.
Our serving center set is one of our products that show the most versatility. It’s mostly known to serve veggies and dip, but it can serve for a lot of other things as well. You can serve fruits with a maple or chocolate dip, use it to set the table for fajitas night, it can also be used for fondue or raclette (with ice in the upside down lid to keep your meats fresh). You can fill it up with snacks (nuts, dried fruits, pretzel, cut cheese pieces, etc.), you can place lettuce in the upside down lid and all the ingredients for a salad bar in the other compartments, that way every guest get’s their salad just the way they want it. But children will be thrilled if you use the serving center set as a sundae bar! It’s one of my favorite Tupperware party themes for the summer. Another alternative is, when making kebabs, why not let your guests build their own kebabs? Have all the ingredients (beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and even the sauce) setup in the sections: you’ll have satisfied guest and less work to be done in advance!
The Impressions classic bowls come in many size (from individual to extra large). They are perfect to serve different salads, and because they come with lids, they easy to bring at family and friend gatherings. They also make beautiful punch bowls and we can even use them to make Ice bowls in which you can place a few lettuce leafs at the bottom then place the shrimp cocktail with it’s sauce.
A plastic pitcher with a lid, like the Tupperware Impressions pitcher or the Classic sheer 1 gal pitcher, keeps our beverages safe from dust, pollen, grass and insects. Drinking in tumblers with lids, like the impression tumblers with drip-less straw seals and the summer fun tumblers with lip-top spouts keep our sangria, punch, iced tea, and juice fresher longer. We can enjoy summer while staying hydrated!
What better way to enjoy your summer vacation than with a park or beach picnic with family and friends! Everyone can take a lunch box instead of having to carry around a heavy cooler. To each his own: favorite drinks in individual tumblers, sandwiches or quiche pieces in the sandwich keepers, once open they make a plate with dividers to hold vegetables or a side salad. A small piece of cake, or yogurt in a snack cup make for a great and fresh dessert. The kids will be well equipped and it’ll give them a sense of responsibility.
Lastly, for all BBQ grilling needs, you’ll appreciate having on hand the salt and pepper shakers, the square pick-a-deli for pickles, olives, sundried tomatoes, feta cheese, marinated eggs. The season-serve container and the Hamburger press and keepers set.
Being well prepared saves time, money and energy. Cook and serve in a relaxed environment this summer! Enjoy it and have a good summer!
When camping, no one wants the meal times to be complicated, but that doesn’t mean you can’t eat healthy! Proper planning before your departure and a few tips to make sure you bring the RIGHT containers, the essentials, will allow you to prepare delicious and healthy meals in a flash!
First, choose containers that are square or rectangular, they allow you to maximize the available space, but it’s also important to bring a few round ones for their airtight seal.
Only take out the frozen items at the very last minute (a maximum of frozen items will allow you to keep your cooler much colder and with any extra ice), that way you can restock on ice only on 2!

Acrylic products such as the Ice Prisms collection and the Sheerly elegant collection are indeed great examples of sparkling, stylish and functional products. Aside from being nice, they are also virtually unbreakable and light. In addition, we like they’re practical side because they come with seals for easy transport and storage. It’s much more relaxing to have family and friends over when you know that your dishware isn’t fragile and that it won’t require messy transfer from the serving bowl to the storage bowl
The Sheerly elegant or Ice Prisms service bowls will nicely decorate your kitchen table and make the room more inviting. Fill it with fruits or whole nuts, or even cookies or muffins, this way your guests will always have a little something to snack on. These classy containers can also be used to serve salads, chips, veggies and dip, etc.
These collections also have pitchers that allow you to serve drinks in style: sangria iced tea, juice or even a cocktail! If you want your guests to serve themselves, you could keep your drinks cold by planning ahead. Simply freeze part of what you plan to serve (about 1/5 of the entire recipe). For example, if you plan to serve iced tea, simply fill the Fresh and Pure ice trays with iced tea, or if you serve Sangria you could fill the trays with 7up, that way when the melt, you want have water diluting you drink!
The beautiful Sheerly elegant tumbler or the Ice Prism Tumblers offer a safe and superb option to serve drinks. You can use them inside or outside, for adults or kids!
Using the Impressions bowls collection, we can make an ice bowl to impress your guests! Fill half of the Large Impressions bowl with boiling water. Then, place the Medium Impressions bowl in the large one in order to raise the water level until it reaches the top of the large bowl. Finally, place the lid onto the large bowl and send this assembly to the freezer for the night. To unmold, lightly run the bowl under hot water and gently remove the ice bowl. For serving, place the ice bowl onto the lid so that it collects the water from the bowl as it slowly melts. This bowl can be used to serve punch, a shrimp cocktail, etc. It’s really impressive and beautiful!
In order to host guest without being stressed, it’s always good to have on hand a few ingredients in our Modular Mates and to have a few bases in the freezer, in our Freezermates. For example; soups, broths, sauces, cooked rice, etc.
When guests stop by uninvited, here are a few quick and easy recipes you can whip up in jiff:
These and many other recipes can be found in the recipes section of the blog.
Tupperware offers as many possibilities to serve elegantly and hassle free, than solutions for quick and easy meal preparations. Tupperware makes the party clean up easy; simply put the lids on your service bowls and store, and the dirty ones can be placed in the dishwasher for easy cleaning! (With the exception of the acrylic products hand washing is recommended for these collections in order to maintain the glasslike aspect)
